Every 4th stop in Mikołów will change its name
The City Council in Mikołów decided to update names of 42 stops. The Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM) advises to check timetables on the Internet before leaving home for a bus, you will not be then surprised during the travel.
The stops will officially receive new names on the 16th of August. However, in practice, due to a large scale of changes, the replacement of timetables on site will be carried out gradually and may last till the end of August.
The update of stop names will comprise 42 stops served by 20 bus lines: 29, 37, 41, 45, 69, 75, 82, 157, 245, 268, 294, 505, 525, 620, 655, 982, J, K, P, and M18. A detailed description of changes may be found on the ZTM website, in the Messages tab.
The organiser of urban transport emphasises that this is only a change of stop names and it is not followed by any other modifications in the bus traffic. In the ZTM history there was no such case, that more than 40 stops in a given municipality would receive a new name at the same time. In the case of Mikołów this is every 4th stop.

PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe rozpoczynają kolejny etap prac inwestycyjnych przy ul. Piłsudskiego w Sosnowcu. Od 8 kwietnia ponownie zamknięty zostanie przejazd pod wiaduktem kolejowym, co przełoży się na istotne zmiany w trasach i rozkładach jazdy tramwajów oraz autobusów komunikacji miejskiej.

Przedstawiciele Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowskiej Metropolii przeprowadzili wstępne odbiory techniczne nowych autobusów elektrycznych. Osiem pojazdów trafi do Sosnowca, siedem do Gliwic, dziewięć do Katowic i siedem do Świerklańca. Będzie to debiut hiszpańskich elektryków marki Irizar w GZM.
