Publication date: 01.12.2022

On the 3rd of December, in relation to the commissioning of the Transfer Centre in Gliwice, the operation of approx. 50 bus lines will change within the city area. The Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM) emphasises, that these lines also include such, which routes go outside Gliwice and due to that also residents of e.g. Knurów, Pyskowice, and Zabrze should learn about the modifications. To facilitate the use of urban transport for passengers from these cities, the transport organiser has prepared now additional information materials.

The new routes of 16 lines deserve special attention of residents of primarily Gliwice, Knurów, Pyskowice, and Zabrze. Buses of lines M14, 8, 58, 60, 80, 112, 187, 194, 202, 250, 287, 288, 617, 694, 840, and 840N from the 3rd of December will end their journeys at the new Transfer Centre. Passengers, willing to travel further, will be capable of continuing their ride transferring to other lines. The choice will be wide, because 12 stops situated in the Transfer Centre will serve more than 40 lines going to various parts of Gliwice and Metropolis.

The diagram of the Transfer Centre, prepared by the ZTM, presents best to which bus it will be necessary to transfer to reach the destination. It illustrates not only the location of individual stops, but also presents, by which buses and in which directions it will be possible to continue one’s ride. For example, the persons, who, after arriving at the Transfer Centre, will be willing to go to:

  • the City Centre or Sikornik and Trynek districts, can go to stops 09 or 10 and use lines M104, M105, 8, 58, 59, 60, 126, 156, 194, 676, 678, 687, and 694,
  • the centre of Zabrze can go to stops 12, 13, or 14 and get on buses of lines M1, M16, 6, 32, 32N, 156, 250, 280, 617, 840, and 840N,
  • Pyskowice should go to stop 08 and transfer to buses of lines M105 and 71,
  • Knurów can use stop 10 and lines M105, 8, 58, 194, and 694.

In addition, the ZTM has prepared information materials, including leaflets, which on the first days of changes will be distributed by the field information staff. Their contents include two lists. The first list specifies lines, which routes have been changed. For each line its relations have been shown, due to which passengers can check, to which lines they can transfer to reach a specific place.

The second list should be particularly interesting to those passengers, who from outside Gliwice were commuting by buses to various parts of this city, and from the 3rd of December the routes of their lines will end at the Transfer Centre. This list specifies stops, which are not served by certain lines, and includes an indication, by which other buses they will be able to reach those stops.

Detailed information about changes in the urban transport in Gliwice is provided on the ZTM website in the News - Messages tab. Interested persons can also call the free hot line, working round-the-clock (800 16 30 30).
