Convenient transport solutions for the Rammstein Group Concerts

The Rammstein will perform on the Silesian Stadium on the 30^th and 31^st of July, and just on these days the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM) will implement a few changes in the urban transport operation, both for trams and buses.  

Participants of the concerts, who – just because of a limited number of parking places – are not willing to drive their cars to the Silesian Stadium, will have a convenient and safe alternative. Tram lines 0, 6, and 41 are worth special attention, which will have additional journeys. Because of these connections the rides between, e.g., the Katowice Plac Wolności – Chorzów Stadion Śląski – Chorzów Batory Zajezdnia stops will be easier. For example, due to the intensification the trams of line 0 between the Stadium and the Katowice city centre will be running approx. every 2-3 minutes. That applies both to the time before the concert, i.e. from approx. 4:30 to 8 pm, and also after the end, that is from approx. 11 pm to 1 am.

It will also be possible to get to the concert by bus. The ZTM has prepared a list of stops situated close to the Silesian Stadium and a list of lines, which serve them. This information, together with other details and a map illustrating the diagram of connections, is available on the ZTM website, in the News - Messages tab. 

At the same time the transport organiser reminds that tickets for the rides may be purchased e.g. via mobile applications (Mobilny ŚKUP, SkyCash, mPay, moBiLET, zBiletem, and JakDojade) and at ticket machines. Referring to the latter, the passengers going from Katowice have such equipment close to the following stops: Katowice Sądowa, Katowice Piotra Skargi, Katowice Sokolska, Katowice Rondo, Katowice Dworzec, Katowice Rynek, Katowice Rynek/Teatr Śl., and Katowice Mikołowska. While passengers going from Chorzów can use the ticket machines situated at the Chorzów Rynek and Chorzów Batory Dworzec PKP stops. To facilitate the tickets purchase, the ZTM will also temporarily transfer one of ticket machines close to the Silesian Stadium and on Sunday (30^th of July), between 10 am and 4:30 pm, it will open the Passenger Service Point at the Katowice Railway Station.
