Suspension of the tram traffic between Katowice and Chorzów

For the duration of works the section between the Gen. Ziętek roundabout in Katowice and the western terminus at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów will be entirely closed for the tram traffic. During three weeks new timetables will be effective for a few tram lines, operating on shortened routes, while lines 0, 23, and 43 will be suspended. A new timetable for tramway line 46 will be introduced, assuming an increased frequency of line operation (every 5-10 minutes). This line will take over transport tasks of lines 6 and 11 in the section between Brynów Centrum Przesiadkowe and Katowice Rondo.

A new timetable of bus line 830 will be introduced on working days, assuming an increased frequency of journeys and starting the service of Chorzów AKS stop. In addition, the line will be also operating on Saturdays. Moreover, bus line M3 will start serving the Chorzów AKS stop.

To ensure mutual transfer connections, substitute bus transport line T-6 will be started, operating between Katowice Rynek and Chorzów Stadion Śląski at a frequency of 7 - 8 minutes.
