Additional tram journeys for the Fest Festival
More frequent journeys and bigger trams, such facilities have been prepared by the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM) for persons, who want to go for the Fest Festival. The event will take place in the Silesian Park in Chorzów, from the 10th to 14th of August.
The solutions prepared by the ZTM will facilitate getting to and back from the Fest Festival. During all days of this event the frequency of connections on tram lines 11 and 19 will be increased. Primarily residents of Bytom, Chorzów, and Katowice will benefit from that. In addition, on the 13th and 14th of August the number of performed journeys on line 10 will be increased, trams from the Stadium to the strict centre of Katowice will run approx. every 15 minutes.
At the same time, in relation to the facilities introduced in large numbers on 3 tram lines, on the 13th and 14th of August (Saturday and Sunday), tram line 23 will be suspended. During the weekend its tasks will be performed by lines 0 and 37.

Rekord po pandemii. Ponad 41 mln biletów sprzedanych w Transport GZM
W 2025 r. Zarząd Transportu Metropolitalnego sprzedał ponad 41,2 mln biletów. Lepszy wynik odnotowano wyłącznie w 2019 r., czyli przed pandemią COVID-19. Z rocznego podsumowania sprzedaży wynika również, że coraz większą popularność wśród pasażerów zyskują nowoczesne rozwiązania sprzedażowe.
Autobusy wracają pod wiadukt przy ul. Mikołowskiej
Częściowe przywrócenie przejazdu pod wiaduktem kolejowym przy ul. Mikołowskiej w Katowicach oznacza istotne zmiany w funkcjonowaniu komunikacji miejskiej. Obejmą one około 50 linii autobusowych i zaczną obowiązywać od 23 stycznia 2026 r.
