Children mastered the headquarters of ZTM [PHOTO GALLERY + FILM]

Publication date: 22.09.2019

We showed the youngest how we work and how we create public transport. Collaborators from various municipal institutions and organizations supported us with their knowledge and gave valuable tips. ZTM Open Day gathered several hundred children from many primary schools.

As part of the European Week of Sustainable Transport, we organized the ZTM Open Day, to which children from schools in the Upper Silesian and Zagłębie Metropolis were invited. We wrote about it here: https://www.metropoliaztm.pl/pl/s/pierwszy-dzien-otwarty-ztm-juz-niebawem.

Our action was a success - the children were very pleased with the opportunity to take a closer look at the work in communication, the substituted vehicle and listen to the words of experts. Each group was shown around the most important ZTM units, where our employees tried to explain in a student-friendly way what their daily work looks like and what difficulties they face each day. The children visited almost the entire building, learning about the world of public transport in many different dimensions. We tried to select a team of guides in such a way that we could raise topics related to various areas of life. In addition to stories from the life of public transport, we have provided knowledge in the field of first aid, safety and assistance to people with disabilities.

However, the venture was a great challenge for us, the implementation of which would not have been possible without the help of our colleagues from various institutions. Thank you very much for the cooperation of the "Important Place" Foundation, employees of the city guard, police, fire brigade and enthusiasts who presented us with their extensive ticket collections. We also thank all our employees for the effort put into the organization and substantive support.

We invite you to watch the FILM and photo gallery from the event.
