BUSES WILL DRIVE TO THE ZABRZE TRANSFER CENTRES
Buses of nearly 40 lines will stop at the newly constructed stations Rokitnica Pętla and Zabrze Goethego. This means that the Zabrze passengers will gain two locations, where it will be possible to conveniently transfer, and from where it will be easy to get by the urban transport to various parts of the city and of the Metropolis.
The 10th of February will be an important day for the passengers of the urban transport in Zabrze. From that day the stops, situated in both newly constructed by the City transfer centres, will be served by buses. – The starting of the service of two transfer centres in one municipality on the same day is an exceptional situation. In our hitherto history such a case happened only once – admits the ZTM press spokesman, Mr Michał Wawrzaszek. – The city enables us the use of stops, and this means that we can introduce numerous modifications of routes and timetables for the passengers, and – what is most important – increase the possibilities of travelling – adds Mr Wawrzaszek.
Buses of as many as 33 lines will stop at Zabrze Goethego
The Zabrze Goethego transfer centre is the bigger one of the two newly constructed. Buses of as many as 33 lines will stop there at 6 stops: M16, M24, 6, 7, 7N, 15, 23, 32, 32N, 47, 81, 83, 86, 89, 111, 156, 198, 199, 234, 250, 270, 280, 286, 617, 617N, 647, 659, 706, 709, 720, 840, 840N, and 932. Detailed information
With the introduction of changes on the aforementioned lines, at the same time other modifications in the urban transport functioning will be implemented. Most important of them include the liquidation of temporary stops Rokitnica Pętla and Zabrze Plac Dworcowy, starting the service of Mikulczyce Moniuszki nż and Os. Kopernika stops and restoring the permanent routes of lines 32 and 32N, and the operation of line 932 between Gliwice CP and Zabrze Goethego, and also the route shortening of line 71 to Gliwice CP – Pyskowice Szpitalna.
All the detailed information about the planned changes is available on the ZTM website in the Messages tab. Also, the graphical schemes have been published there, showing well the organisation of the urban transport traffic in the newly constructed places. Because the number of introduced changes is high, the timetables will be systematically published on the transport organiser’s website.
