A BREAK IN THE TRAM TRAFFIC ON THE KATOWICE – CHORZÓW ROUTE

The track works on the turnout embedded in the pavement of Chorzowska street are almost finished. On the nearest days the contractor will concrete the assembled track system. However, all the network works on the connection of the new line with the line going along Chorzowska street remained to be carried out. To perform these works the general contractor requires a 5-day break in the tram traffic. During that time, they are to make all the elements of the network connection between both lines.

Because of that, from Saturday, the 21^st of October, to Wednesday, 25^th of October inclusive, the following changes will be introduced in the traffic organisation:

• tram lines No 0, 23, and 41 will be suspended;
• trams of line 6 will be running on a changed route: Zawodzie Zajezdnia – Katowice pl. Wolności – Chorzów Rynek – Chorzów Stadion Śląski according to a changed timetable;
• trams of line 46 will be running according to a changed timetable;
• the ZTM will start the substitute bus transport T-6 running on the route: Katowice Rynek – Chorzów Rynek.
