Ms Małgorzata Gutowska, the Director of the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM) in Katowice, presented the ZTM offer for employers during a meeting of the Sustainable Development Committee of the District Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Tychy.
The Tychy Chamber of Industry and Commerce organises cyclic meetings of the Sustainable Development Committee, to which they invite representatives of municipal and regional institutions. Last Thursday the Metropolitan Transport Authority of the Upper-Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis was a partner of the last conference, represented by Ms Małgorzata Gutowska. During the meeting the ZTM Director presented a special offer for employers, showing benefits, which can be gained by the companies joining the partnership programme.
To a large extent the public transport is a response to the contemporary problems of cities. The active participation in promoting this awareness is a signal that companies started responsible actions to improve the quality of our common space. Sustainable transport is an element of implementation of corporate social responsibility principles. The main goal of our offer is to start cooperation with employers, so that also companies would start being active in the promotion of urban transport among their employees, gaining at the same time economic, employee, and image benefits.
In the next part of the meeting, the director of the Tychy MZUiM presented the current stage of work on the implementation of the ITS Intelligent Traffic Management and Control System in Tychy. The system presentation was connected with a visit to the ITS control room. A lively discussion took place at the end of the conference, during which opinions were shared on the presented offer and on the operation of the urban transport in the Metropolis.
