Tram changes in Katowice and Zagłębie

In all cases the introduction of changes in tram lines results from the progress of repair and modernisation works. If in Katowice they come to the end and the permanent system of connections will be restored, then in Dąbrowa Górnicza one of investment project stages will be completed and the next modification will be introduced in the operation of the tram transport. The changes introduced in Silesia and Zagłębie coincide in time - the new timetables will take effect on the 12^th of December, that is Monday. 

The most important piece of information for residents of Chorzów, Katowice, and Świętochłowice is the restarting of trams operation on lines 0, 23, and 43, and the restoring of timetables and previous routes on four other lines: 6 on the Katowice Brynów - Bytom Plac Sikorskiego - Chorzów Batory Zajezdnia route, 11 on the Katowice Plac Miarki - Chorzów Metalowców route, 19 on the Katowice Plac Wolności - Bytom Plac Sikorskiego route, and 20 on the Chorzów Rynek - Katowice Załęże Pośpiecha route. Because of the reconstruction of the previous system of connections the substitute bus transport T-6 will be suspended. 

In turn, for passengers from Zagłębie the most important piece of information is the directing of tram lines 21 and 22 (going to Sosnowiec and Czeladź) to the Dąbrowa Górnicza Urząd Pracy stop. That means restoring these lines on a part of their permanent route, instead of temporary operation to Osiedle Zamkowe in Będzin. At the same time line 28 will be restarted on the Będzin Osiedle Zamkowe Pętla – Dąbrowa Górnicza Urząd Pracy route, which will take over tasks of temporary line 51. Because of such system of connections the routes of substitute bus transport T-21 will be substantially shortened. It will run from Huta Katowice to the labour office in Dąbrowa Górnicza, and not to the Koszelew stop, as so far.
