A new minibus lines starts in Tarnowskie Góry
The 4th of March will be the first day of a new minibus line operation in Tarnowskie Góry. The service of those parts of districts, which so far were not included in the urban transport network, will be its main advantage. Another value of the new connections will consist in the possibility of getting by them to the most important tourist attractions of the city.
The route of line 749 will pass in two directions from the Tarnowskie Góry railway station through Osada Jana, Bobrowniki Śląskie, Repty Śląskie, Stare Tarnowice, to the Upper-Silesian Rehabilitation Centre. The inclusion in the bus network of the next areas, so far not served by the urban transport, will be its greatest value. For the residents of e.g. Kopernika, Chopina, Repeckiej and a part of Staszica streets the fact that minibuses will serve new stops situated in these streets will be an important piece of information. Altogether, there will be 21 new stops.
The performance of connections in those parts of districts, which so far were not covered by the connections network, is obviously not the only advantage of the new line. In addition, it will ensure possibility of getting to the most important tourist attractions of the city. The following table shows, on which stops it is best to get out, to come near to them:

– The news that residents are very satisfied with minibus lines 744, 745, and 746 operating for more than a year was spread very widely, so we have received requests to start new ones. We are glad that the ZTM has positively responded to our request and that, after starting the new minibus line, for the residents of places, which were not reached by the public transport, it will be easier to get to school, doctor, and work, and for our guests – to our monuments from the UNESCO list: historic mine, adit, park in Repty – says Mr Arkadiusz Czech, the Mayor of Tarnowskie Góry. – Our work is directed, inter alia, towards prevention of transport exclusion, that is removing so-called white spots from the region’s map – says Ms Małgorzata Gutowska, the ZTM Director. – Credits should be given to the city and the Mayor, Mr Arkadiusz Czech, without whose initiative the implementation of a new minibus line would not be possible – adds Ms Małgorzata Gutowska.
The ZTM network comprises, among other things, more than 400 bus lines. Approx. 70 of them are minibus or partly minibus lines. In Tarnowskie Góry, once buses of line 749 start, there already will be 4 such lines. Let us remind that the first three such connections started in December 2022. These were lines 744, 745, and 746, which routes comprised, inter alia, the city centre, Lasowice, and Sowice. – The time has shown that this project gained recognition of the Tarnowskie Góry residents and that the decision of the City, about starting the first minibus lines, was right – says Ms Małgorzata Gutowska.
