The ZTM is willing to expand the network of ticket sales. An opportunity for local businessmen

Publication date: 25.10.2024

The Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM) is looking for business partners, with whom it will expand the sales network for its tickets. After the introduction of many digital and modern solutions this time the aim is to increase the number of stationary points, where it will be possible to buy paper tickets.

Single-ride paper tickets for travelling by the urban transport may be bought now at approx. 750 points situated in all 56 municipalities covered by the Transport GZM system. – Although now this is already the largest network in Poland, we are still willing to develop it. We assume that the tickets should be as widely available as possible – says Ms Małgorzata Gutowska, the ZTM Director. – Therefore, we have been looking for partners, who think about developing their business, expanding their activities, and thereby increasing the profits – adds Ms Małgorzata Gutowska.

Various types of trade and service points can be potential ZTM counterparties, e.g., kiosks, bakeries or grocery shops and off-licences. – We are open to discussions with anybody. We consider the cooperation both with small points and with larger chains – says Ms Małgorzata Gutowska.

The ZTM counterparties can count on a 5-7% discount at the tickets purchase. The discount amount depends on the number of tickets bought from the urban transport organiser. – In addition, our current partners indicate that their new customers-passengers also buy other goods at a ticket’s purchase. This is an additional value, which is difficult to measure – adds Ms Małgorzata Gutowska. At the same time, the ZTM representatives indicate that the points situated at a distance of up to 500 m from an urban transport stop have the greatest business potential.
