Tickets purchased before the introduction of the new transport tariff, we remind, how they can be used
Have you bought single-ride or long-term tickets before the 17th of October? Check, what to do, to use them after the change of the Transport Tariff.
Pursuant to the resolution of the Management Board of the Upper-Silesian Metropolis concerning the adoption of the ‘Transport Tariff [...]’:
- paper and electronic single-ride/short-term ‘Group for 5 persons’ and ‘Daily’ tickets can be validated/activated till the end of October. From the beginning of November till the 31st of December these tickets may be used together with a supplementary ticket. After the New Year the unused tickets shall be returned;
- long-term tickets: ‘7-day’, ‘City 30’, ‘2 Cities 30’, ‘Network 30’, and ‘Network 30 Bearer’ entitle to travel, provided that their validity started by the 31st of October at the latest. Tickets, which validity period starts after this date, shall be returned.
How can you return a ticket?
Tickets, referred to above, will be collected by the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM). In the case of paper tickets, based on a written application of the passenger, submitted to the ZTM together with the attached tickets. Electronic tickets may be returned at Passenger Service Points.
