METROPOLIS STARTS THE TICKET INTEGRATION WITH THE MZK JASTRZĘBIE-ZDRÓJ. FACILITIES FOR CZERWIONKA-LESZCZYNY RESIDENTS

The passenger transport between Knurów (GZM) and Czerwionka-Leszczyny is now served by four lines. Two of them, 194 and 694, are operated by the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM), and the other two, 302 and 303, are served by the Inter-Municipal Transport Union in Jastrzębie-Zdrój. At present, passengers transferring to vehicles of the other carrier must use another tariff and buy separate tickets.

From the 1^st of January 2023 the travelling between these municipalities will be easier. The GZM Metropolis and the MZK Jastrzębie-Zdrój have signed an agreement on the introduction of an integrated tariff-ticket system.

The integrated system will comprise three types of monthly tickets:

• Ticket M1: PLN 200 normal, PLN 100 concessionary. Valid in the urban transport organised by the MZK in the area of Czerwionka-Leszczyny municipality and in the area of one, selected by the passenger, city in the urban transport organised by the ZTM.
• Ticket M2: PLN 232 normal, PLN 116 concessionary. Valid in the urban transport organised by the MZK in the area of Czerwionka-Leszczyny municipality and in the area of two, selected by the passenger, cities in the urban transport organised by the ZTM.
• Ticket MS: PLN 252 normal, PLN 126 concessionary. Valid in the urban transport organised by the MZK in the area of Czerwionka-Leszczyny municipality and in the entire network of the urban transport organised by the ZTM.

Tickets issued by the MZK Jastrzębie can be bought via a mobile application ‘zBiletem’.

The ZTM is serving now 55 cities and municipalities. This number includes 40 member municipalities of the Metropolis and 15 outside its area.
