FOR THE JIMEK’S CONCERT – BY TRAM IS THE BEST WAY

In recent weeks the ZTM was frequently preparing convenient transport solutions for persons participating in the biggest musical events in the region. For example, that was the case of two concerts, of the Rammstein and of Andrea Bocelli, on the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów, and also in the case of the OFF Festival, which took place in the Three Ponds Valley in Katowice. The situation will be similar now, that is on the occasion of the ‘Jimek & Goście’ concert planned for the nearest Saturday. 

It will be easiest to get to the Silesian Stadium by tram. First of all, it is worth considering the use of lines 0, 6, and 41. The ZTM has planned for them, both before and after the concert, additional journeys and serving the connections by bigger vehicles than on a normal day. The trams will be running on the Katowice Plac Wolności/Brynów Centrum Przesiadkowe – Chorzów Stadion Śląski – Chorzów Batory Zajezdnia route. 

The detailed information on the trams operation and buses diversions, with a map illustrating the lines routes, is provided on the ZTM website, in the Messages tab. Interested persons can also call the free hot line, working round-the-clock (800 16 30 30). 

We also remind about a number of possibilities of buying the tickets before and after the concert. They include the ticket machines. Persons, going to the Silesian Stadium from Katowice, have such equipment close to the following stops: Katowice Sądowa, Katowice Piotra Skargi, Katowice Sokolska, Katowice Rondo, Katowice Dworzec, Katowice Rynek, Katowice Rynek/Teatr Śl., Katowice Mikołowska, and Katowice Aleja Korfantego. While persons, going for the concert from Chorzów, can use the ticket machines situated at the Chorzów Rynek and Chorzów Batory Dworzec PKP stops. In addition, on the concert’s day, the working hours of two Passenger Service Points will be extended. Points at the PKP railway station and at Pocztowa street in Katowice will be working till 8 pm.

We encourage especially to buy the tickets via the mobile applications. The electronic versions of tickets are cheaper, ecological, and they may be purchased very quickly.
