The first ŚKUP cards expire. Check the validity of yours!

Data publikacji: 06.09.2019

At the end of September the validity expires of the ŚKUP cards issued earliest. This applies both to personalised and non-personalised cards. New cards may be ordered free of charge. Tickets, funds, and concessions will be transferred for persons, who will collect a new card before the current one validity expiration. Passengers can replace their ŚKUP cards 3 months in advance of their validity expiration.

The ŚKUP cards life cycle was planned as 4 years. So at the end of this month the cards issued from 2015 on will expire. Because of that the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM) encourages all ŚKUP card holders to check the validity of their cards and to replace them. The validity date is printed on every card in the mm/yy format. Cards are valid by the end of the month printed on the card (e.g. 10/19 means, that the card is valid till the last day of October 2019).

Passengers can replace their ŚKUP cards 3 months in advance of their validity expiration. Applications may be submitted on the Customer Portal  or in Passenger Service Points and Customer Service Points, which list is displayed on the transport organiser website, in the Contact – Service Points tab.

A ŚKUP card replacement and the collection of a new one within 30 days of application submission and before the old card expiry date results in transferring onto the new card of all tickets, funds, and concessions saved on the old one. After the expiry date the redemption of rights saved on it will be possible only under a claim procedure. The issuance of a new card because of the validity expiration is free of charge.

The Metropolitan Transport Authority requests travellers to submit applications for ŚKUP cards replacement with at least one week advance due to the card production cycle.

Detailed information can be obtained in service points and on the hotline.
