Transport lessons start

Publication date: 01.02.2023

We invite all schools from the GZM area to participate in this year transport classes, organised by the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM).

The Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM), in cooperation with the City Police Headquarters in Katowice, starts a new edition of transport classes for children from classes II - III of primary schools from the area of the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis.

During the classes children will learn, what is the public transport, and how its usage has a positive impact on the natural environment. They will learn rules of safe travelling by the urban transport and of moving on the road.

All that under a new project ‘A Model and Safe Passenger’.

Workshops and transport lessons are educational classes from the field of public collective transport for pupils of initial classes of primary schools. During the classes the ZTM employees will present the rules of safe travelling by the urban transport and its environmental impact to children. Through the play we also want to teach the junior pupils the proper transport behaviour, and to encourage to travel by the public transport.

Classes in Katowice schools will be taught in cooperation with the City Police Headquarters in Katowice.

To register for the classes, it is necessary to fill in the application form, and then send its scan to the address kancelaria@metropoliaztm.pl. We would appreciate that the mail is entitled: ‘Zgłoszenie na zajęcia komunikacyjne’ (Application for transport classes). The available class dates are provided in the schedule specified in the form. Once the application is considered, we will directly contact the school employee assigned in the form. The number of groups is limited, the sequence of applications is decisive.
