Since February the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM) has carried out lessons for nearly 500 pupils from 9 schools in the area of the Upper-Silesian and Zagłębie Metropolis . In the form of educational games, the children have learned the arcana of travelling by the public transport and have reminded themselves the main principles of safe movement on the road. The classes in Katowice schools were delivered in cooperation with the City Police Headquarters in Katowice.

In addition, during the lessons, the attention was paid to an important role of reflective elements when going to and back from school, therefore after each class children received reflective armbands.

The first edition of transport lessons was attended by pupils from Chorzów, Katowice, Będzin, Dąbrowa Górnicza, Rudna, Tychy, and Siemianowice Śląskie. Because of a great interest, the ZTM is going to organise the next edition of lessons, which will last from October till December. The application form and all the details are provided here.
