The Silesia Marathon approaches as well as changes in the operation of a few dozen lines
On the 1st of October, the sport competition under the Silesia Marathon will start. From 07:30 to 14:30 a few dozen bus lines will be operating in a way different to usual, therefore on Sunday it is best to decide to travel by tram. Moreover, the participants of the run will be capable of travelling by the urban transport for free.
On the nearest Sunday a few dozen buses will change their routes due to the closing of individual areas of Katowice. The areas closed for traffic will comprise, among others, Nikiszowiec, Giszowiec, Aleja Roździeńskiego, Aleja Korfantego. The changes will apply to the lines, which routes pass not only through Katowice, but also through Chorzów, Mysłowice, and Siemianowice Śląskie. A few dozen stops will not be served, e.g., served by the following lines 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 18, 196, 222, 292, 296, 600, 931, M1, M2, M3, M4, M10, and M11.
We will start seven stops and special lines S1 and S2, which will connect the districts, where the urban transport is temporarily suspended, with the Słoneczna terminus. Passengers will be capable of transferring there to the tram lines towards Katowice city centre and towards Plac Alfreda and Siemianowice Śląskie.

What is important, the participants of the run on the 1st of October will be capable of using all the ZTM connections for free, based on the start number distributed by the organiser.

21 września wyłączone zostaną przejazdy pod wiaduktem kolejowym przy ul. Żeromskiego w Sosnowcu. Dla pasażerów oznacza to zmiany w komunikacji miejskiej na 11 liniach tramwajowych w kilku miastach Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowskiej Metropolii. Najważniejsze modyfikacje dotyczą linii 21 i 27.

Zarząd Transportu Metropolitalnego uruchamia pilotaż trzeciej wersji portalu Systemu Dynamicznej Informacji Pasażerskiej. To kolejny krok w pracach nad rozwiązaniem, które w jednym miejscu będzie łączyć informacje o różnych środkach transportu – nie tylko autobusach, tramwajach i trolejbusach, ale również pociągach i Metrorowerze. Przy tworzeniu nowego portalu wykorzystano narzędzia sztucznej inteligencji. ZTM zachęca pasażerów do przesyłania uwag i sugestii dotyczących jego funkcjonowania.
