Because of the integrated offer of the GZM, Koleje Śląskie, and POLREGIO, one ticket is enough to use various means of transport in the area of Metropolis. For passengers this means a more flexible possibility of choosing the most favourable connection. The ticket integration is the effect of agreement concluded in December 2023 by and between the GZM, the Silesian Voivodeship, Koleje Śląskie, and POLREGIO. Because of this solution all the basic personal 30-day tickets of the Transport GZM [1] also enable the holders to use the trains. This briefly means that in the ticket price the passengers have an additional possibility of travelling by Koleje Śląskie and POLREGIO trains in the area chosen by them.

1.   Metrotickets

The Transport GZM ticket offer includes four types of 30-day tickets and a 24-hour ticket, which, depending on the choice, entitle to travel by both the Transport GZM urban transport as well as Koleje Śląskie and POLREGIO trains within the GZM area. All of them received the ‘Metroticket’ prefix. The following Metrotickets are available:

1)     Metroticket 24h (PLN 24 normal, PLN 12 concessionary) – is valid on the entire Transport GZM network and on all lines served by Koleje Śląskie and POLREGIO in the GZM area (including the Tarnowskie Góry – Pyrzowice section via Miasteczko Śląskie Centrum and further on Mierzęcice and Siewierz (in accordance with the diagram));

2)     Metroticket City 30 (PLN 119 normal, PLN 59.50 concessionary) – is valid in the area of one selected municipality, in the Transport GZM urban transport, and in the case of a city in the GZM area, in which at least two railway stations/stops are situated, also in Koleje Śląskie and POLREGIO trains;

3)     Metroticket 2 Cities 30 (PLN 149 normal, PLN 74.50 concessionary) – is valid in the urban transport in the area of two selected neighbouring municipalities, and in the case of cities within the GZM area, in which at least two neighbouring stations served by the railway are situated, the ticket is also valid in Koleje Śląskie and POLREGIO trains. Note: if only one of the two selected cities has the railway, but in the area of this city there are at least two neighbouring railway stations/sops, then we are entitled to travel within the area of this city by train, provided that the municipality is a GZM member;

4)     Area Metroticket 30 (PLN 189 normal, PLN 94.50 concessionary) – is valid on the entire Transport GZM urban transport network and, in addition (if the passenger chooses so) in Koleje Śląskie and POLREGIO trains in the area from three to six consecutively neighbouring municipalities, GZM members, where stations served by the railway are situated (including the section of Tarnowskie Góry – Pyrzowice section via Miasteczko Śląskie Centrum and further on Mierzęcice and Siewierz (in accordance with the diagram)), with a possibility of a direct ride or with a transfer in the railway relations;

5)     Metroticket Network 30 (PLN 249 normal, PLN 124.50 concessionary) – is valid on the entire Transport GZM network and on all lines served by Koleje Śląskie and POLREGIO in the GZM area (including the Tarnowskie Góry – Pyrzowice section via Miasteczko Śląskie Centrum and further on Mierzęcice and Siewierz (in accordance with the diagram));

In the case of concessionary Metrotickets, in Koleje Śląskie and POLREGIO trains the entitlements to concessionary travelling applied in accordance with the Transport GZM Tariff are honoured. Thereby, a person, which will buy a concessionary Metroticket and in accordance with the Transport GZM Tariff is entitled to concessionary travels, with such a ticket can travel by trains of the aforementioned carriers, even if his/her entitlement to a concession would not be valid in the case of a railway ticket purchase.

NOTE:

1)  Mutual honouring of Metrotickets and MAX TICKETS applies to tickets at a normal price and also to concessionary tickets. This solution does not comprise the honouring of entitlements to free travels.

2)  Metrotickets are valid in the railway transport only within the GZM area. Thereby, having a Metroticket for a selected municipality or municipalities served by the Transport GZM, but situated outside the GZM area, such a ticket does not entitle to travel by the railway transport in the area of those municipalities. The Tarnowskie Góry – Pyrzowice section via Miasteczko Śląskie and further on Mierzęcice and Siewierz is the exception (in accordance with the diagram).

3)  Metrotickets are not valid in PKP Intercity trains, which stop at the railway stops within the GZM area.

Metrotickets are available on the transportgzm.pl portal, at points of sales, at Passenger Service Points, in selected ticket machines, and in the Transport GZM Transport application. In addition, Metroticket 24h is available in all mobile applications, which sell the Transport GZM tickets.

In addition, Metrotickets linked with a personal user’s account in the Transport GZM system entitle everyday (during their validity period) to 60 minutes free riding by the Metrobicycle.

The other tickets available in the Transport GZM Tariff (which do not include ‘Metroticket’ in their name) are valid only in the Transport GZM urban transport and are not valid when travelling by trains.
